Pollyanna Events is a bespoke event planning service based in New York, Connecticut, and DC and travels across the US to help clients create amazing events.

Why Pollyanna Events? A “pollyanna” is a person with an astounding sense of optimism who strives to see all things in a positive light. The Pollyanna team was curated based on that sense of optimism —  our team members approach every project from the point of view that it will be our most successful to date.

We are here to bring creativity and inspiration to life. That may mean finding our clients the perfect venue, assisting with design elements or creating a flawless timeline for the event. We do all this, in order to make sure our clients can relax and fully enjoy their event.

Weddings are our specialty! Our perfect wedding is the wedding our clients dream of. Each of our weddings are focused on our clients’ core values, sense of style and family traditions. Each couple is unique in their own way and it is our job to realize their wishes in each of the weddings we manage.

Our goal is to make every event more breathtaking than our clients could have imagined!

Sarah Campbell

Founder, CEO and Executive Planner

Tell all | Sarah is a creative entrepreneur, driven feminist and travel lover who lives in NYC with her husband and two small yorkie-mixes. She has coordinated events all over the US, from weddings of all shapes and sizes, to private dinner and birthday parties, to tailored networking events for creatives. She loves getting to know her clients personally and incorporating their unique style and inspiration into their weddings and events and seeing everything come to life.

Her favorites | After spending long nights on her computer and too many hours making business decisions, Sarah sometimes just needs to unplug and get back to basics; the reason why she started this company in the first place, her love for DIY projects. Sarah truly enjoys working with her couples to create unique DIY projects together that bring out their individuality and creativity as one.

Kate Brown

Associate Planner

Tell all | Kate is a seasoned event planner in Washington DC with a passion for working in the community. Kate has coordinated weddings in the DMV area, has experience in planning fundraising events for nonprofits across the country and continues to work with local community organizations. Kate loves to see happy couples and when she’s not helping couples say “I Do,” she’s helping girlfriends say “Yes” by planning custom marriage proposals. If you can’t find Kate in DC, she is most likely jetting down to her home away from home, Miami, to soak up the sun and indulge in delicious Latin food.

Her favorites | Kate lives for that moment when she gets to watch the couple’s reaction as they walk into their venue for the first time and seeing their dreams become reality.

Sam Ramos

Assistant Planner + Calligrapher

Tell all | Sam is a native New Yorker, who has a passion for traveling, who has spent time living in South Africa and has recently landed in DC, and loves it! Sam, has coordinated events of all sizes, from birthday parties to weddings and even fundraising galas of 500 guests! She has spent the majority of her professional career working in higher education, however, she loves when she can fuel her creative side with a fun DIY project! When she isn’t planning or crafting away, you can find her perusing through bookstores and finding the best local cafes.

Her favorites | Sam loves putting together the vision board of the decorations for her clients and seeing it all come together the day of the event.

Kristina Miedzinski

Associate Planner + Calligrapher

Tell all | Kristina is a Connecticut transplant who was born and raised in Maryland. She originally started in the wedding industry doing photography, her passion, but has since become infatuated with planning the overall celebration! Kristina’s event planning experience ranges from managing logistics for larger wedding celebrations, planning smaller events like dinners, to focusing on the details of local beer festivals. When she’s not working, you can find her discovering new restaurants and beers, practicing calligraphy, or hanging out with her labrador, Oskar!

Her favorites | The dance party! Seeing the happy couple with all their friends and family dancing the night away without a worry in the world is the greatest moment.

Associate Planner

Tell all | Karolina moved to New York from Poland after spending some time traveling and exploring what she wanted to do in life. Passion took over and she became an event planner! It’s bee something she’s always felt good at, whether it’s a big film festival, an art gallery opening, or a more intimate event like a wedding! She puts her heart and soul in every event she coordinates. Karolina loves practicing yoga, cooking and eating.

Her favorites | Talking to clients, getting to know them and turning their vision into a great party!

Assistant Planner + Social Media Coordinator

Tell all | Serena is a California Native who has bounced back and fourth between the East and West coast growing up. Her background includes Event Planning, Interior Design, and Styling. With a love for travel, Serena often finds herself taking spontaneous road trips with her loving boyfriend and sweet Jack-Russel, Bear. Her favorite thing about planning events is seeing a clients ideas come to fruition. She finds immense satisfaction in helping people make their dreams a reality. Her latest obsessions are macrame, diy lighting, and floral design.

Her favorites | Brainstorming the theme behind an event! There is so much that goes into this process and she can’t get enough! Helping to curate the beauty and uniqueness of each moment is something she lives for.

Alyssa Stephens

Assistant Planner 

Tell all | Alyssa is a native of South Carolina that has fallen in love with the Washington, D.C. area. She completed her master’s degree in non-profit management from Clemson University, and has worked with several non-profit and charitable organizations planning and fundraising for large and small-scale events. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and traveling to new places. Outlets for her creativity include perfecting new make-up techniques and planting pint-sized succulent gardens. Alyssa loves the excitement that surrounds the day of the wedding and enjoys seeing the love between the happy couple.

Her favorites It’s incredibly rewarding for Alyssa to see everything her clients dreamed of come to fruition on their special day.
